Pri dobijanju olova, olovo(II)-sulfid se najpre prevodi u olovo(II)-oksid.

Zatim se olovo(II)-oksid redukuje ugljenikom:
PbO(s)+C(s)-----Pb(s)+CO(g) deltaH=+106,8kJ/mol
Koliko energije se:

b)oslobodi
pri pretvaranju 454g olovo(II)-sulfida u olovo?
